Thomson Cruises Using Augmented Reality Brochures

The brochure pages for Thomson Cruises’ 2014/2015 programme will feature augmented reality technology that allows smartphone and tablet users to interact and experience life on board the ship. 

Customers using Android, iPads, iPhones and other smart phones will be able to see the ships though photographs and six films that show the entertainment and gourmet dining options on board, as well as the Platinum offering on board Thomson Dream and Thomson Celebration. Around 18% of all Thomson’s customers book on a mobile device. 

Customers need to download the free Aurasma App from the App Store or Google Play to access this content, and then hold their mobile device over the selected images, denoted by an icon.
